about the photographer

I am a fine art and portrait photographer from the small town of New Hamburg in southwestern Ontario, Canada.

I have been interested in photography since I was about eleven years old, always jumping at the chance to take pictures with my family's little point-and-shoot digital camera.

It was in high school that I really started to consider photography as a career. I spent most of my time in grades 11 and 12 in the communications lab, editing photos or playing with cameras, or wandering the school grounds with friends, photographing everything. In grade 11, I won $200 for one of my photos in a contest, which I put towards buying my first DSLR!

A lot of my work is inspired by music I listen to, locations I like, or emotions. Most of my fine art photographs are self portraits, although occasionally I will use a model. I find self-portraiture to be one of the most expressive art forms, and therapeutic in a way.

I am a graduate of the Fanshawe College Photography Program, and have had my work featured in Photo News Canada Magazine in 2014, as well as in a gallery of 100 local photographers from around Kitchener-Waterloo in early 2015 and 2017.

I take great pride in my work, and would be delighted to help you achieve your vision for your next project, be it family portraits, headshots, fashion/model portfolio shots, live shows, or conceptual artwork.
